About Us

Chicano Nation clothing was a product of The Chicano Movement, "El Movimiento". This movement advocated for social and political empowerment for all people. The Chicano Movement mobilized many people to become active in creating positive change for all Chicanos.  

In the early 1990s, a group of people traveled to the Four corners area of Aztlan to show solidarity with the Dineh and Lakota nations. Feeling elated and refreshed from that experience they returned to East Los Angeles feeling inspired and proud of their cultura. As a result, Chicano Nation Clothing was born.

Chicano Nation Clothing is a family-owned business that was created when uncle George returned from the Four corners area of Aztlan. He made one custom hoodie, in which he designed, to make Chicano Nation clothing. From there Chicano Nation Clothing began to pop up at events in support of the community. Today his niece, Margo is the owner of Chicano Nation Clothing.
